December 3rd
Thank You Thursday

The team at the Humane Society are overjoyed by the amount of support we have received this past Giving Tuesday. With your help and Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control’s support, we managed to raise over $11,000.00 for the animals in our care - during such a difficult time.

It’s amazing to see just how much the community likes to give back to causes that they believe in. We are proud to be seen as such an important cause in the eyes of the community, speaking for those without a voice and saving animals from neglect, homelessness and abuse.

Fundraising efforts such as Giving Tuesday are more crucial than ever before, with restrictions being placed on community events and gatherings - our hands have been tied. The Development Team at the Humane Society has worked around the clock, coming up with new ways to help bring donations to the animals in need, while also ensuring the safety of the community and our staff and volunteers.

COVID-19 has really pushed us to think outside of the box to ensure we can still provide the necessary services these neglected, homeless and abused animals need.

By participating in our fundraising efforts like Giving Tuesday, the community is directly playing a part in giving these animals a second chance at life and a forever home. The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth does not receive any government funding, all the money used to do what we do comes from community support.

This Thank You Thursday, we’d like to thank you all for donating, sharing the campaign with your friends and family and being advocates for the Humane Society. We truly cannot do it without your help and support.

The team at the Humane Society would also like to send a special thank you to Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control for matching donations and helping us kick off the giving season. With that being said, I'd like to give an opportunity to Skedaddle to tell you about their efforts to bring humane wildlife solutions to our community and add an extra sparkle to organizations during this holiday season.

Thank You Thursday is here, and our team at Skedaddle wants to extend our gratitude to the community for supporting humane wildlife solutions this past year more than ever. As always, our goal is to create an opportunity for homeowners to protect themselves and their property, while also preserving wildlife populations in their neighbourhoods. By choosing Skedaddle, our clients are choosing to coexist with wildlife, in a way that keeps animals and neighbourhood residents safe.

Skedaddle plays an active role in our community by partnering with many local SPCAs and humane societies, participating in events by sponsoring and donating annually. We also take great pride in sharing the knowledge we’ve gained about urban wildlife over the past 30 years by speaking at community events and kids’ camps. By sharing this knowledge, we hope to educate both new and established homeowners about the importance of wildlife conservation, and how to keep their property and their family out of harm's way.

During the holidays, Christmas Lights by Skedaddle donates professional decor to brighten up the season for many community organizations. The best part of the holiday season is seeing how much joy our decor and light displays bring to local residents. From Humane Societies, to retirement villas, to public charity events, we believe everyone deserves a little extra sparkle around the holiday season. Supporting our local communities is an important part of how Skedaddle gives back.

We want to thank all our partners at the KWSP Humane Society, and the Kitchener-Waterloo community for supporting us through this year especially, and we hope that in the future we are able to expand our business to serve communities all over North America.
