Summer Camp

Our award winning summer camps are a fantastic way for children to learn about responsible pet ownership, animal handling and daily care. We offer fun, field trips and furry friends - you can’t beat that!

NEW FOR 2021!
We hope to offer both virtual camps and in person camps!

At our virtual camp, kids will interact with friends, connect with camp counsellors, and most importantly, learn about the exciting world of animals - all from the comfort of home!

Our in person camps (pending COVID-19 restrictions and best practices) will take place in Kitchener in an indoor/outdoor environment.

VIRTUAL camps

This isn't just more screen time. Our online camp includes live presenters, virtual field trips, daily crafts, team activities and so much more. Campers will be able to visit with animals from all over the world from the comfort and safety of home!

Our Vets in Training Camp includes daily learning with the vet team, scrub and stethoscope, lessons on behaviour, first aid training, animals exams and much more.

Our Animal Care Camp focuses on learning on how to care for animals. This includes lessons on behaviour, communication cues, pet care routine, pet sitting and much more.

So how does it work?

Before camp starts, parents will pick up their child's camp bag, which will have all of the materials that they need and a KWSPHS t-shirt. If you live outside the area and cannot pick up your camp bag, please reach out, as we have options for you.

Each registrant will be assigned to a small group of campers. They will meet with their counsellor and small group every morning for some "get to know you" activities, and then meet as a larger group shortly after, where we will begin our day.

Once a week, campers and their families will be invited to join our Family Fun Night, where we will do activities like Bingo, trivia, movie nights and craft nights.

Location:
