Junior Vets in Training (Ages 7-10)


Jr. Vets in Training (Jr. VIT) is a club offered to kids aged 7-10 who want to learn more about animals through hands on activities and learning. Each week, your Jr. VIT will learn from our staff veterinarian about how to protect animals and keep them healthy. This program takes place once a week from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and runs for 5 weeks. Each session costs $250.

WHAT CAN JR. VITS EXPECT TO LEARN?

  • How to care for shelter animals
  • Basic pet anatomy and animal behaviours
  • How to spot dangerous and safe animals
  • How to take animal vitals
  • Why grooming is important
  • How to choose the right pet for your family when adopting
  • Responsible pet ownership

 

COVID-19 Protocols

Please note that we will follow and enforce all COVID-19 protocols. These could include but may not be limited to:

  • physical distancing during the program
  • proper sanitation and hand washing
  • mask-wearing for the duration of the program
  • flexibility in terms of our access to animals and other supplies typically used in this program

Please note that a transition to online programming is possible at any point throughout our Jr. VIT sessions and those who register must be able to go online if needed.

Vets in Training (Ages 10-14)


Vets in Training is a five week program offered to kids aged 10-14 who aspire to be a vet or want to work with animals in the future. These workshops will give children hands-on experience with animals and exclusive access to our on-site animal hospital. This program takes place once a week from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and runs for 5 weeks. Each session costs $290.

WHAT CAN VITS EXPECT TO LEARN?

  • Physical exams and surgery
  • Parasites and toxins
  • Breed specific diseases

Senior Vets in Training (14+)


Sr. Vets in Training (Sr. VIT) is a five week program offered to students 14+. Students will dive into the world of veterinary medicine and get an in-depth look at what it's like to work with animals.
