Vet Services

The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth offers a variety of low-cost veterinary services to the public, aimed at helping pet parents who need us the most. Please see each program page for more details.

Within the last decade, we have opened a companion animal hospital in our Kitchener centre and a satellite hospital in our Stratford centre. While they focus on the health and wellness of the homeless pets we have coming through our doors, they also provide a number of public facing programs. Today we offer a variety of services including spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, microchipping, and veterinary outreach aimed at keeping people and pets together.

Rabies & Microchip Clinic

Each month we offer low-cost rabies vaccination & microchip clinics designed to make responsible pet ownership more accessible to everyone.

Microchip Services

Microchipping is the most convenient, reliable and permanent solution to ensure your pet is returned to you if they ever go missing.

Community Cats Program

We offer a range of services aimed at supporting and controlling the community cat population in our communities.

Vet Outreach Program

Through our vet outreach programs, we offer free veterinary care to pets of individuals experiencing homelessness or vulnerable housing situations. We understand the deep bond between people and their animal companions, regardless of their circumstances.

Aftercare & Cremations

As pet owners ourselves, we recognize that losing a pet is an extremely difficult experience. Should you be looking for after care services such as communal or private cremation, we can assist you in making these arrangements.
